On April.6th, TEDxTokyo is holding the satellite event collaborating with TEDxChange which is established by the partnership of TED and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Under the theme of global health and development and the concept of “The BIG PICTURE”, TEDxChange is asking questions to worldwide TEDx organizers, such as “Why, as a global society, should we continue to invest in overseas development?”

To approach this theme, TEDxTokyoChange will share the opportunity with you to watch TEDxChange in Berlin which will be held on April.5th, and speeches of local speaker. At the end of the day, we will create ideas by discussing with all of you. (The speech in Berlin
and part of our local speech will be done in English.)

We are inviting both specialists and non-specialists of global health
and development as we believe that we can come up with solutions in
new direction by connecting individual thoughts and activities with
different background.

The member of TEDxTokyo yz operates TEDx Tokyo Change under the support of TEDxTokyo. We want to make the route for the aim in each future a reliable one by inspecting an idea and the action of young leaders leading future Japanese society from various viewpoints.

Meeting in Daikanyama. 26 days to go

We had this weeks progress meeting at the “Green Cafe Saigouyama” in the Saigouyama park which is just in front of Carato 71, the beautiful venue for the main event.

Today we discussed upon the venue layout, PR and TED talk selection.

Always nice to meet and discuss with the team. Everybody getting more and more excited as the day comes near…only 26 days left!

Joint meeting with the TEDxKids Tokyo!

Moving from our meeting-spot Time Out Cafe, we’ve launched a joint meeting with the TEDxKids Tokyo at the Tokyo International School.

In the classroom surrounded by the children-sized furnitures and toys, we’ve been discussing about the curation of the speakers of TEDxTokyo yz Ver2.0. The photo above is Naho, graphic-facilitating the ideas and brainstormings about the speaker candidates.

This brainstorming was very relaxing, sitting on the soft matress floorings. From all these genres ideas popping out from the members, we’ll be focusing and narrowing the brainstorm ideas into shape. Unfortunately, we still can’t tell the details to you, so please wait till we announce!

We’ve talked in circle with the TEDxKids Tokyo team. TEDxKids Tokyo will be held on the same date, same venue as a joint event on the Oct. 1st, so please check their website as well! :)

Weekly meeting reports : 110730

So, here’s comes the report of our weekly action team meetings for the TEDxTokyo yz. The meeting starts out from sharing the progressions of each teams’ activities to everyone, then spliting up into teams to discuss on their own.

We’re having new members as we launch meetings, accelerating the teams’ fresh, live and passionate force.

Here’s one shot at the last meeting. Trying out an instrument which one of the members have brought to the meeting.

This is the magic of TEDxTokyo yz, fully fuctioning with the superb collaborations of each individuals, performing their specialities and skills. This team here, will be heading straight towards the success of the Ver2.0 event on Oct 1st!

Concept creation for TEDxTokyo yz Ver2.0!

In our last meeting, we’ve gathered to share our thoughts and ideas for Ver2.0! From those “Ideas Worth Sharing” from the members, we will be collectively making our concepts towards our Ver2.0 event on Oct. 1st.

We’ll let you know ASAP, when the concepts of Ver2.0 becomes solid and concrete, ready to be released!

TEDxTokyo yz ver2.0 Action meeting!

Hi!

The TEDxTokyo yz members have been taking action towards the TEDxTokyo yz “ver2.0″ held on Oct.1st! We’re having weekly meetings every Saturday at the Time Out Cafe, which was the venue for the last yz event, “Theater”.

And, now that the team members has been decided, we will be steadily taking action as a team.

We’re having teams like Public Relations、Website、Social Media、Partner Relations、Speaker Curation、Participant Curation、Treasury、Design、Photo、Video、Catering…and lot others, all teams enthusiastically working together as one, towards the achievement of a further exciting, innovative and evolved event of “version 2.0″.
